She/Her/Hers
Works with Adults and Couples

Healing Work:

Therapy with Me… Is based on working as a team to help you meet your goals. I like to collaborate with individuals and couples to create a shared plan for therapy that is grounded in what feels most important to the people I see.

My impacting identifies/roles that inform my work… I feel passionate about working with individuals, families together (as a team) to help you find ways to reach goals.

I feel informed and knowledgeable about…Diversity and change!

I work best with clients who… are open to change. If you are asking to work on yourself then I feel you are open to change.

I am not a good clinical fit for clients who… are not interested in making change.

What makes me unique… I wouldn’t say unique but I have a lot of life experience, in the continental US and overseas. I was in the Navy In a career I loved but had nothing to do with Social Work (as a job); however, I learned and experienced third world country issues as well as the positives and negatives of military life which impact my work and experiences today.

Learning and Growing:

I try to learn something new each day, even if it is something little. I like telling jokes, like seeing someone smile because you recognize them.

Fun Facts/Resilience Building:

Family, dogs, cats, aquariums, travel.  I am technologically challenged!! despite my work in the Navy.

Education:

MSW University of Maryland School of Social Work

BS  Bowie State University

Certifications/Trainings/what I’m Reading Currently: I currently have a Certified Clinical Trauma Provider Certification and really enjoy learning and exploring how trauma impacts our bodies and minds. I have been certified in Hospice and Palliative Care working in a hospital system.
