Neurodivergent-affirming trauma therapy is an approach that supports people who identify as autistic, ADHDers, or otherwise neurodivergent, by recognizing that trauma is often layered, complex, and frequently tied to environments that demand masking, compliance, or “fitting in.”
We believe that healing begins with understanding, not fixing. In neurodivergent-affirming trauma therapy, we focus on honoring each person’s lived experience, communication style, and way of being. We approach therapy with curiosity rather than correction, recognizing that differences in regulation, expression, and interaction are not problems to solve, but important parts of who someone is.
Collaboration, Choice, and Safety
Our work is grounded in collaboration. We do not see ourselves as the authority in the room, but as partners in the process. We prioritize voice, choice, and autonomy, allowing clients to guide the pace of therapy, define what progress looks like, and engage in ways that feel safe and accessible to them.
We also recognize that safety is built over time. This means creating a therapeutic space that is flexible, transparent, and responsive—one that respects boundaries, supports different forms of communication, and adapts to sensory and emotional needs.
Our goal is to provide a space where clients feel seen, respected, and supported in reconnecting with themselves in a way that feels authentic and sustainable.
