Ashley Hines is a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) who has spent the duration of her clinical career providing crisis level intervention and trauma-informed counseling to clients and their families. She received her Bachelor of Science from Flagler College and her Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. As a therapist, Ashley believes in the value of a strong therapeutic alliance and treats each client with dignity and respect. Ashley believes clients are the experts of their own lives and have the innate capacity to overcome the challenges and hardships they may be facing, with the support and structure that therapy can provide.
Ashley has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. Additionally, she has worked with clients with a range of presenting complaints including anxiety, depression, ADHD/ADD, PTSD and familial conflict. Ashley has developed insight through her clinical experiences and studies towards understanding intergenerational and complex trauma. She is aware that at times there is a need for support throughout the family system in order to truly work on the identified complaints. Ashley is a non-judgmental, empathetic, warm, and engaged clinician.
She approaches therapy with a hands on and active approach, while encouraging clients to progress at their own identified pace. She aims to empower clients will the knowledge, tools, and resources to manage complex symptoms effectively. Ashley would identify that she aligns with therapeutic interventions and techniques that are drawn from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Positive Psychology, Solution Focused Therapy, Mindfulness and Narrative Therapy.
